The purpose of your visit to your Chiropractor

The purpose of your first visit is to discuss your problem, for the chiropractor to find the underlying cause of your problem and determine which chiropractic treatment would be able to help.

A report of the findings may occur during your initial consultation or on a separate occasion once x-rays or further tests have been completed. An individually tailored plan of care will then be recommended to you.

The first treatment usually occurs during your first appointment and will involve a combination of specific adjustment, mobilisation, soft tissue techniques and acupuncture to the spine, joints and muscles in order to help restore normal function.

Like a regular work out at the gym, each chiropractic session will build on the one before. You may also be given exercises and other lifestyle advice to complement your treatment, and enable you to reap maximum health benefits.
